The fire resistant cement GÓRKAL 70 is a hydraulic binder applied to producing concrete, mortar and fire resistant pulps.
GÓRKAL 70 cement is made from high quality materials which are characterized by the high contents of alumina.
Mineral phases existing in GÓRKAL 70 cement determine its special properties.
The cement has a stable chemical composition and it achieves excellent mechanical properties in a short time.
Due to its fire resistance, the cement can be used at 1700°C.
GÓRKAL 70 cement is widely applied in various industry branches:
- in the power industry,
- in the heating plants,
- in the iron and non ferrous metallurgical works,
- in the glass and pottery industry,
- in the chemical and cement industry.
It can be used for making monolithic brickworks on the working spot or used for making prefabricated elements.
The production process of the cement is under strict control, which finally ensures the stable chemical composition.

GÓRKAL 70 is characterized by short setting time:
- the beginning time not earlier than after 40 minutes,
- the ending time not later than after 8 hours.
GÓRKAL 70 achieves quickly excellent mechanical properties. The application of the cement in fire resistant concrete makes working time shorter and brings a lot of economic advantages.
- Flexural bending strength after 24 h min. 5 MPa
- Compressive strengths after 24 h min. 30 MPa
The high quality of thre high alumina cement and the proper wrappage allow to store it for three months time. In practice, however, it preserves all its properties for half a year.
